NETWORK CONSOLIDATED COOPERATIVE BANK (NCCB) was the first and largest consolidation of cooperative banks under the Strengthening Program for Cooperative Banks (SPCB) with 6 Cooperative Banks Consolidating and the National Confederation of Cooperatives (NATCCO) as the Strategic Third-Party Investor (STPI). On October 3, 2013, the Banko Sentralng Pilipinasthru Monetary Board Resolution 1620, approve the consolidation of 6 cooperative banks namely; Cooperative Bank of Agusan del Sur, Cooperative Bank of Camarines Norte, Capiz Settlers Cooperative Bank, Cooperative Bank of Leyte, Southern Leyte Cooperative Bank and Sorsogon Provincial Cooperative Bank.
The bank was cooperated and registered with the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) on January 23, 2014, under Registration No. 9520-16024008. Pursuant to Republic Act No, 9520 and Monetary Board Resolution No. 1620 dated October 3, 2013, authority is hereby granted on March 21, 2014 to operate as Cooperative Bank. On September 8, 2014, the Network Consolidated Cooperative Bank began operations of its Head Office at 160 Katipunan Avenue, Barangay Saint Ignatius, Quezon City.
The BSP thru Circular Letter No. CL – 2014 – 054 dated 8 October 2014, informed all banks and non-bank financial institutions on the consolidation of the six cooperative banks. The Cooperative Bank was organized to establish a national cooperative bank with more solid capital position, stronger management and wider, network to deepen its reach into the countryside, to strengthen the quality of corporate governance and management systems of the consolidated bank to make it a truly sustainable, viable and efficient financial institution, to serve as a preferred banking window of choice for the network of cooperatives in the country and its members, and to develop a stronger cooperative banking sector that can better provide much needed financial services to hundreds of cooperative organizations and their members, and contribute in promoting self-reliance towards the attainment of economic development and social justice. NCCB operates as a cooperative bank and provides services such as deposit-taking, loans and trade finance for primary members and other clienteles. Currently, the bank has 6 branches and 2 Branch Lite Units.
